Project Overview
This busy family wanted an oasis, their very own resort right at home. The pool and surrounding landscape was old and overgrown so a total redo was in order. Everything was taken down to bare dirt and a complete rebuild which included a new pool liner and auto cover, cabana complete with bar and tv, a fireplace and an expansive pool deck would be installed. An eclectic mix of materials creates interest with rich texture and color from salvaged clay brick pavers, rip rap stone and fon du lac paired with sleek travertine for the pool deck. Attention was paid to every detail right down to the custom fabricated travertine skimmer covers. The trees and plants surrounding the pool area were kept simple to blend well in this home’s country setting and placed strategically to provide shade in specific places once mature. Landscape lighting brought this project full circle with a mix of uplighting on trees and copper downlighting on pathways and patio spaces throughout creating a warm, inviting space day or night.
